1. When do I need to replace the filter of my IQAir system? >learn more
There are 2 ways for checking the filter life of IQAir system:
Method 1: You can simply check the indicated lights on the control panel when the system is on, the positions of the filter life LEDs on the control panel correspond to the actual positions of the filters within the system. The filter life LEDs indicate four possible life stages of the individual filters in the system:
|
***The IQAir system’s effectiveness is likely to have been reduced dramatically, either due to a reduction in airflow (particle filters are clogged) or a reduction in filter efficiency (gas phase filter is saturated).
Method 2: IQAir system is equipped with an electronic Filter Life Monitor on the control panel, you may check the exact remaining hours of the filters. Please refer to the HealthPro Series User Manual instructions, chapter 4.4.2, Filter Life Monitor. > Download Here
2. How to replace the IQAir filter? >learn more
For IQAir HealthPro Series, please refer to the HealthPro Series User Manual, chapter 6, Replacing Filters. > Download Here
In order to properly track the life of your filters, it is important to reset the Filter Life Monitor with each filter replacement. After reset, the red LED will change to green. Please refer to the HealthPro Series User Manual instructions, chapter 4.4.8, Filter Life Reset (New Filter). > Download Here
3. What is the filter life span of different IQAir systems? >learn more
The life span of the filter depends on 3 major factors:
- pollution levels of the application area
- system running time and
- different fan speed
As different IQAir systems consist of different filter media, each filter has its own filter life span, please contact our IAQ consultants for more details.
4. Any by-products will be generated by the IQAir systems? >learn more
All IQAir systems are 100% ozone-free. They are certified by the International Association of Air Cleaner Manufacturers (IAACM) and approved by The California Air Resources Board (CARB) as producing absolutely no ozone.
Ozone can be produced by ionizers and electrostatic air cleaners, which can lead to adverse effect to human health, such as breathing problems, asthma, lung diseases, etc. Even small amounts of ozone are undesirable and can be harmful for allergy and asthma sufferers.
5. How often should I run my IQAir system? >learn more
Depending on the level of air cleaning desired, all IQAir systems can be operated for 24 hours a day, if needed, without harm to the system.
For general air cleaning purposes, the IQAir system should filter the room air volume at least twice every hour on the set fan speed in order to achieve a significant improvement in air quality.
If the pollution level is high or a high degree of purification is needed, more air changes may become necessary by selecting a higher fan speed and/or running the IQAir system more frequently. In order to achieve the desired number of air changes, more than one IQAir system may be required, or an IQAir whole-house filtration system should be considered.
6. What fan speed should I run the IQAir system? >learn more
The IQAir system can be set to run at six different fan speeds that correspond to six different airflow rates. Speed 1 is the lower and speed 6 the highest fan speed.
Generally, when operating the system at speed 6, it will take around 15 minutes to clear 50% of the particles in a 70 m2 room. The results would be achieved more quickly in a smaller room at the same fan speed. The size of application area and fan speed can affect the length of time to achieve the results. Please refer to the HealthPro Series User Manuel, chapter 4.3, Fan Speed & Air Delivery for calculation of recommended minimum fan speed for your system. > Download Here
IQAir has variety systems that deliver different airflow rates with corresponding fan speeds and designed for various applications. For large environments or high degree of purification required, IQAir CleanZone series can be considered, please contact our IAQ consultants for more information.
